Sneakers.co.id – Belakangan di berbagai media sneaker, social media ramai membicarakan Air Jordan 1 OG “Banned” yang dirilis kembali 3 September lalu. Warna hitam dan merah dari Air Jordan 1 konon sempat dilarang 31 tahun yang lalu. Benarkah?

, Michael Jordan didenda, $ 5.000 per pertandingan jika ia mengenakan sepasang sepatu basket merah dan hitam Nike, sebagaimana berlakupada “Banned” Air Jordan 1 karena aturan seragam” yang ditetapkan oleh NBA,

“Seorang pemain harus memakai sepatu yang tidak hanya cocok dengan seragam mereka, tapi cocok dengan sepatu yang dikenakan oleh rekan satu tim mereka.”

Pada saat itu, merah dan hitam jauh lebih mencolok dari sepatu hitam dan putih polos.Komisaris NBA, David Stern mengancam “Usir mereka dari permainan.” Sejarah mengatakan bahwa MJ terus memakai nya. Kemudian Air Jordan 1 ini dikenal sebagai sepatu Nike yang menghabiskan biaya $ 5.000 untuk melanggar aturan seragam NBA.

Berikut ini adalah surat yang ditulis oleh kemudian NBA Executive Vice President, Russ Granik, ditujukan kepada Nike Wakil Presiden, Rob Strasser. Surat tersebut menyatakan bahwa Michael Jordan mengenakan sepasang tertentu sepatu basket Nike yang melanggar aturan dan prosedur liga pada atau sekitar 18 Oktober 1984.

Tapi apakah benar demikian?

Beberapa pendapat lain mencoba menggali lagi apakah benar Air Jordan yang dilarang pada saat itu. Karena dalam beberapa dialog dan video youtube Jordan mengenakan tiga warna dari Nike Air Ship: Putih / Natural Abu-abu, Putih / Merah dan Hitam / Merah. Sehingga muncul pendapat bahwa Black/versi Red Nike Air Ship adalah sneaker sebenarnya yang dilarang, bukan Air Jordan 1.
