However, the goal of leaving a smaller environmental footprint than Earth Day Packages is not only because of the materials they are made from. The lining of the shoe has been developed with an energy-saving technology called solution dye, which reduces CO2 emissions by up to 45% and water consumption of 33% compared to conventional dyeing processes.
The percentage of recycled materials used in each Asics Earth Day Pack is different. For running shoes, minimal 30% polyester on the upper of the shoe; for Sportstyle, minimal 40% the main material of the upper part of the shoe; and for tennis shoes, at least 40% bottom net shoe top.
