“As a child born in the 80s and growing up in the 90s, Superstar sneaker with its street art culture is something very iconic, and that year also when I got my first shoes”, say Florian Müller, Senior Designer, LEGO Group. “So, when the collaboration with adidas started, I am very excited to work on this model. Because shoes represent a very organic object, made of flexible material which can also look different on each person, it was a fun challenge to make this into the LEGO System in Play, which is usually square in shape and consists of blocks. Thanks to the Superstar team at adidas Originals, this project is a super collaborative process with lots of valuable new things being shared about the art of shoemaking, And now we look forward to seeing how fans will model their version of the shoe and customize it in their own unique way.”
Model blok LEGO® adidas Originals Superstar 10282 will also be launched on 10 July 2021 and will be available exclusively at LEGO Certified Stores.
