Kalau dulu bintang film dan model jadi andalan kampanye fashion, sekarang sorotan justru mengarah ke lapangan olahraga. Yang terbaru, Bottega Veneta nunjuk petenis muda asal Italia, Lorenzo Musetti, sebagai brand ambassador. Pengumuman ini rilis barengan dengan penampilan Musetti di Wimbledon, lengkap dengan jaket kulit putih khas intrecciato yang langsung mencuri perhatian, walaupun langkahnya terhenti di game pertama.

Musetti jadi bagian dari barisan nama besar Bottega bareng I.N dari Stray Kids dan aktor Australia Jacob Elordi. Di sisi lain, Jannik Sinner yang memenangkan Wimbledon juga muncul dengan tas Gucci ukuran jumbo, bukti lain bahwa dunia fashion makin lengket sama dunia olahraga. FYI, Sinner sendiri udah jadi wajah global Gucci sejak 2022.

Fenomena ini bukan hal baru. Michael Jordan bisa dibilang pelopor kolaborasi atlet-brand sejak teken kontrak pertamanya dengan Nike di tahun ’84. Tapi sekarang tren ini makin jadi karena banyak brand mulai ninggalin seleb Hollywood atau influencer yang cuma ngandelin angka followers.

Nama-nama seperti Carlos Alcaraz buat Louis Vuitton, Naomi Osaka, sampai Stefanos Tsitsipas untuk Canali jadi contoh nyata. Bahkan Dior sempat gandeng Emma Raducanu sebelum akhirnya digantikan oleh Qinwen Zheng. Yang jelas, sekarang atlet dianggap lebih “reliable” dan mewakili semangat disiplin, fokus, dan konsistensi, sesuatu yang makin dihargai di dunia fashion modern.

Nggak cuma soal gaya, kredibilitas juga ikut dipertaruhkan. Richard Mille, misalnya, kolaborasi sama freediver Prancis Arnaud Jerald yang pakai jam RM-032 saat mecahin rekor menyelam. Atau Alexis Pinturault, pemain ski yang pakai RM 67-02 waktu ngebut di salju. Walaupun kebanyakan pemilik jam mewah nggak bakal bawa jamnya ke gunung atau laut, tetap ada nilai prestige yang dibangun dari situ.

Dengan nilai industri fashion yang tembus 1,45 triliun euro dan olahraga di angka 2,26 triliun euro, arah tren ini jelas: Kolaborasi fashion dan olahraga bukan cuma soal gaya, tapi investasi yang cerdas. Apalagi fans olahraga punya loyalitas yang kadang nyaris religius. Selama ini fashion masih fokus ke cabang elit, tapi siapa tahu kedepannya justru e-sports atau bahkan darts bisa dapet tempat juga.
